TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions apply to all students taking Lessons/Classes/Events at Fort Lee School of Music and SUPtown Music & Arts (hereinafter “The School”). These Terms and Conditions supersede any previously written or spoken agreements.

Private Lessons

  • 24-hour cancellation required. Lessons canceled with less than 24-hour notice will be automatically forfeited and can not be rescheduled. 

  • Absences for more than 3 weeks no longer guarantees a reserved time slot.

  • Maximum 1 cancellation — without rescheduling or taking a substitute — per four consecutive months. If canceling a second (or more) lesson within four consecutive months, a range of days and times over the course of one-week will be given to the student to do a make-up with their teacher or substitute. If the student can not attend any of the given dates they will loss the lesson.

  • Tuition is always paid in full on the day of the last lesson.

  • Outstanding balances remaining for 3 or more weeks will result in the loss of reserved time slot. 

  • Unused Lessons will expire after 3 months.

  • Parent/Teacher consultation is part of the Lesson time.

  • Make-up Lessons are based on teacher availability.

  • If your teacher is not available you will be provided with a qualified substitute.

  • Rental Instruments: A refundable deposit is required in order to rent an instrument.

  • Major damage (cracks, excessive wear, broken parts, etc) will be the renters’ responsibility.

  • Full value of instruments that are lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair will be replaced using security deposit plus any additional costs associated with replacing the instrument. 

  • Annual Event Membership provides an audience ticket for parents and siblings only. Additional tickets are given based on availability.

  • Annual Event Membership does not include ticketed public or private events.

Group Classes

  • Absences without any notification for more than 3 weeks no longer guarantees a seat in the Class.

  • Tuition is always paid in full prior to attending the first Class.

  • Outstanding balances remaining for 3 or more weeks will result in the loss of reserved seat. 

  • Make-up classes are based on teacher availability and at the discretion of The School.

  • If any teacher is not available a qualified substitute may teach the Class.

General

  • Payment Methods: Cash, checks, all major credit cards, Chase Quickpay, and Zelle.

  • 3.5% fee will be applied to all credit card charges.

  • All sales are final, there will be no refund under any circumstances.

  • Punctuality: if you arrive late, all Lessons/Classes will still end at their scheduled time. Students should arrive 5 to 10 minutes before their scheduled start time.

  • The School reserves the right to use any photos or videos from Events, Lessons, or Classes for promotional materials. Photos or videos will be used in good taste and never include the names of students.

  • The School reserves the right to increase tuition, annual membership, or any product prices.
